Meet Mark Reeves, Senior Systems Engineer at Tait

From design to implementation to maintenance and troubleshooting, Mark is involved across the systems engineering lifecycle. He joined the Tait team in September 2022 and is currently working to support the pre-sales RFP process, in addition to providing post-sales engineering support as needed.

“The closest thing to magic I have found is science and engineering.”

We asked Mark a few questions to get to know him a little better:

How would you explain your job to a group of kindergarteners?

I make communications work for Police, Fireman, emergency services personnel, teachers, plant workers, or just about anybody that needs to communicate with a radio.

What are 3 words you would use to describe Tait?

Driven, fun, adaptable.

Would you rather be the funniest or the smartest person in the room? Why?

I prefer to be among the smartest but I don’t have any desire to compete to be “the” smartest.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

Solar Power and energy efficiency, outdoor activities, boating.

Have you ever had to “unlearn” something in your professional life? What was it?

Yes—the customer is not always right.

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?

My family, health and happiness are more important than my job.
